If you don't need a website, read this!
There are many businesses that don’t have a website because they think they don’t need one. And they are correct, if they have no intention of growing their business for themselves, to sell it, or to pass it on to family in the future. Or if they want to possibly frustrate current customers and risk losing business. Then do not have a website!
For everyone else, there are web options appropriate for your business. They act as 24-hours a day customer service reps for clients. They are the calling card people see, nowadays often long before they decide to do business with you. They can allow you to be seen everywhere in the world. They can free up your time by answering questions before they are asked. They can offer promotions or specials. They can show video of your work. Or pictures. Or broadcast your thoughts in a podcast. Or personally connect with clients with content choices.
A website for a small business is like a one-man-band for marketing - playing kazoo, cymbals, and a big bass drum all at once. You don’t have to utilize it. But then you are possibly just a beat off.
